Annunciation High School aims to help students recognize and joyfully respond to the good, the true, and the beautiful

“For nothing shall be impossible for God”

Nothing shall be impossible for God” Luke 1:37

Annunciation High School first opened as Chesterton Academy of the Annunciation in September of 2023 in the old schoolhouse on the grounds of St. Anthony Shrine in Emmitsburg, Maryland. In the fall of 2024, the school relocated to its current home on Creamery Road in Emmitsburg, which was expanded in June 2025.

While the Chesterton way of classical education is good and fruitful, our school has decided, after careful deliberation, to embrace another way. This move will afford us more options to meet the needs of our students while still drawing on a tried-and-true classical curriculum. Starting in the fall of 2025, Annunciation High School will begin using the nationally known Catholic, classical curriculum of Kolbe Academy.

Annunciation High School remains a classical school firmly rooted in the Catholic faith. We take as our motto daily fiat, knowing that God can do all things. We need only to seek and follow His will in each moment.

Small Beginnings
